Jeff F. Arthur Jr. (1984 - Present) is Pastor of the Buffalo Baptist Church in Buffalo, WV, student of Liberty University and Teays Valley Baptist College. Jeff surrendered the irresistible call to the ministry his senior year of high school and has been serving the Lord ever since.
Drawn to the study and teaching of God’s Word Jeff began teaching youth and leading praise and worship at the Elizabeth Baptist Church in Bancroft, WV working under his father Pastor Jeff Arthur Sr. From there the Lord opened up various invitations to churches all over West Virginia. It was one of those invitations that turned into Jeff’s first post; Anthony Baptist Church in Lewisburg, WV. After serving at ABC as interim Pastor for a little over a year the Lord’s calling was made sure and Jeff returned home to complete school and seek ministry on a full time basis. Shortly after returning home in January 2008 Jeff was called to Buffalo, WV to serve the Lord. Since July 2008 it is at the Buffalo Baptist Church that Jeff ministers as Pastor.
Jeff is also involved with the local broadcasting ministry Good Hope Through Grace sponsored by the Elizabeth Baptist Church in which his Father is keynote speaker. Good Hope Through Grace Radio currently reaches into West Virginia, Ohio, and Kentucky (107.9 WEMM at 7:30 every Monday evening) and worldwide through independent internet missions. Sermons have been downloaded and broadcast in almost every country in the world through this mission.
Jeff’s focus is on God’s Word as top priority in all matters of life and practice. This boils into a desire to study the Word of God and teach it to others. Jeff teaches God’s Word in every church service verse by verse, chapter by chapter and uses it as the body of truth behind all leadership and administration at the Buffalo Baptist Church.
Jeff’s future is resting in the hands of the sovereign God of the universe. Jeff hopes to continue his role as Pastor at the Buffalo Baptist Church. He is also setting the building blocks of a partnership with Bible Training Center for Church Leaders (www.bibletraining.com) in the Buffalo, WV area. The goal of BTCL is to train church leaders and pastors so as to enable them to strengthen or start other Bible teaching churches across the state and even into the uttermost parts of the Earth. Jeff’s goal is to not only teach Christians God’s word, but to instruct them on how they can also study and teach God’s word to others.
Jeff and his wife Emily currently reside in Buffalo, WV, where they labor together at the Buffalo Baptist Church.
